The Essential Details of Backgammon Strategies – Part 2

As we have dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a casino game of skill and good luck. The goal is to move your chips carefully around the game board to your home board and at the same time your opponent shifts their pieces toward their home board in the opposing direction. With opposing player pieces heading in opposite directions there is going to be conflict and the requirement for specific tactics at specific times. Here are the last 2 Backgammon tactics to round out your game.
The Priming Game Strategy
If the aim of the blocking tactic is to slow down the opponent to shift their checkers, the Priming Game strategy is to absolutely barricade any activity of the opposing player by creating a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent’s checkers will either get hit, or end up in a battered position if she at all tries to escape the wall. The trap of the prime can be built anywhere between point 2 and point 11 in your half of the board. As soon as you have successfully built the prime to block the movement of the competitor, the competitor doesn’t even get to toss the dice, and you move your chips and roll the dice again. You’ll win the game for sure.
The Back Game Tactic
The goals of the Back Game tactic and the Blocking Game plan are very similar – to harm your competitor’s positions with hope to boost your chances of winning, however the Back Game technique utilizes different tactics to achieve that. The Back Game plan is generally utilized when you’re far behind your competitor. To participate in Backgammon with this technique, you have to control 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This tactic is more difficult than others to play in Backgammon because it needs careful movement of your pieces and how the chips are moved is partly the result of the dice roll.
